Using the latest in LED and solid state electronics, the manufacturer has developed a series of flashing lights for both commercial and military / SAR applications whose performance exceeds US Coast Guard and SOLAS requirements. All the flashlights, compact and water resistant, flash emitting a white signal 60 times per minute for more than 18 hours, using two common AA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included). Commercial PFD (flotation device) lights are USCG approved and offer manual or water-activated functionality, while specific military and SAR models provide more advanced signaling features, including infrared beams and multiple color LEDs. LED and solid-state models offer greater brightness, durability and lifespan than incandescent bulbs or gas-filled xenon tubes. Manufactured for the marine environment, the low-profile coating is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant plastic with clear, impact-resistant lenses. Smaller, lighter, and brighter Sirius flashlights than Firefly® flashlights are the first choice for a PFD or signaling flashlight.
